2008 VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN PROCEDURES

BOA STADIUM CONCESSIONS VOLUNTEERS

·        As check-in times vary, please refer to the game-day schedule for proper      check-in gate opening time for each specific date.  See schedule matrix on the Marching Band website under the Panthers link.

·        VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN CLOSES WHEN EVENT GATES OPEN. Late arrivals will not be allowed UNLESS the check-in gate has been alerted via the Late Notice phone number – 704-358-7190. We are expected to be ready to sell product when gates open (except beer on Sundays starts at 12PM for 1PM game time due to ABC laws)

·        Event gates are open 2 hours prior to game time unless otherwise noted (i.e. – gates open at 11AM for a 1PM game time).

·        Our group will provide a MACS school bus for volunteers.  It will leave CCHS 4 hours prior to game time (9AM for a 1PM Sunday game for example) :

-         This allows 1 hour transit from CCHS to bus parking lot to Stadium check-in table (arrive at BOA at 10AM for a 1PM game).

-         This allows 1 hour prep time for hawkers, popcorn stands and beer troughs to be cashed up and stocked, ready to sell when Event Gates open (11AM for a 1PM game).

-         If you drive yourself to the stadium, please plan to arrive at BOA to be through check-in 3 hrs prior to game time.  See the parking lot directions and note the lot location.  ALSO, only the 2-preseason games are mandatory carpool for this lot. It is a first come first serve basis this year, so plan on arriving in plenty early to assure yourself of a space.

-         IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT ALL VOLUNTEERS TRY TO UTILIZE THE MACS BUS BECAUSE OF THE LIMITED FREE PARKING AVAILABLE THIS YEAR.

·        Volunteers are allowed to bring in a purse or small bag only – NO BACKPACKS ALLOWED.  All bags are subject to search and any inappropriate items will be confiscated. ALL VOLUNTEERS SHOULD BRING A FORM OF ID (to prove age).

·        No one under the age of 15 will be allowed to enter the stadium as a volunteer.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

·        Improper conduct at check-in will not be tolerated.

·        After bag screening, proceed to your assigned check-in table to receive your credential.  Credentials must be worn at all times while in the stadium.

·        OUR GROUP WILL BE ASSESSED A FEE IF :

-         A volunteer is not in proper uniform per the SF&B Dress Code ($25).

-         A volunteer is a no-show that results in our group not meeting our minimum staffing level.  THIS FEE IS SIGNIFICANT!!  IF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES FORCE YOU TO MISS YOUR SCHEDULED PANTHER EVENT, PLEASE CONTACT JIM FAWCETT OR JENNY LINICH ASAP SO ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE.

OUR VENDING STATION NUMBER IS 521V. IT IS ON THE 500 (CONCOURSE LEVEL) OF THE STADIUM.  PLAN TO USE THE WALK RAMPS, NOT THE FREIGHT ELEVATORS, TO ACCESS THE VENDING STATION….  AND BUILD THIS TRANSIT TIME INTO YOUR ARRIVAL – IT TAKES ABOUT 10 MINUTES TO WALK FROM CHECK-IN TO OUR STATION….

Volunteers CAN NOT take food from the stadium. Bags are subject to search upon exiting the stadium.
